the issues concerning the hijab project were really bothering me, particularly the ethical issues of potential cultural appropriation and potential alienation of friends and colleagues. so i sought out the advice of friends and lovers who live and work in berlin, who are activists or academics, who are muslim or come from a muslim background or do work on minority representation and post-colonialist discourse. i conducted interviews with them in which i ask them to comment about this project.

at the same time i was using my little camera to film, doing tryouts on the functions of this camera.
