in thinking of how to document a month-long performative experience of walking in a hijab, i was recommended to look at the work of mavi veloso

mavi veloso is a brazilian artist. in his project 'trans' he dressed as a trans woman and walked around sao paulo, documenting the experience with a camera that hung around his neck

my personal interest in this project is twofold:
1. the idea of documenting things via a small and accessible camera that hangs around the neck.
2. veloso's project bears some similarities to mine in the 'drag' element - feminine drag vs. muslim drag, conducted in public space
